1. Information We Collect & Purpose of Processing

When you submit application materials to BrandingCV or when our business customers process your data via our platform, we collect personal information including but not limited to your name, contact details, employment history, and education information contained in your resume, CV, or cover letter.

For EU/UK Users (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing this data is the necessity of taking steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract, or our legitimate interest in managing recruitment services. BrandingCV acts as a Data Processor on behalf of our enterprise agency clients (the Data Controllers).
For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): We collect these categories of personal information solely for the 'business purpose' of evaluating job applications and delivering our B2B SaaS platform capabilities. We do not collect sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

2. Zero-Retention Machine Learning Policy

We process candidate personal information (resumes/CVs) strictly in-memory during the active redaction session. Once the redacted document is generated and downloaded, the original unredacted file and the extracted PII are immediately and permanently deleted from our servers. We do not use your personal data to train our independent AI foundation models.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Sub-processors

To provide our services (such as automated resume parsing), we engage third-party service providers (Sub-processors). We explicitly prohibit our AI sub-processors from using your personal data to train their models. We do not 'sell' or 'share' your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Data Retention and Your Right to Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Candidate resumes are processed ephemerally and are not retained long-term.

Exercising Your Rights:You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten"). If your data was uploaded to our platform by one of our business customers, you must direct your deletion request to that respective business customer (the Data Controller). We will assist our customers in fulfilling your validated requests.
